KONSTANTIN GROPPER

Konstantin Gropper was born in 1982 in Oberschwaben, southern Germany. When about 12 years old, he saw „Once Upon A Time In The West“, Ennio Morricone became his idol and his goal to become a film-composer. 

Konstantin started to write his own songs when he was 14 years old, playing inPunk- and Alternative-Rock bands, while also singing in classical choirs and playing in orchestras. After an education in both classical and popular music production, he released his first solo-album under the name „Get Well Soon“ to high critical acclaim throughout Europe. 

Right after the release directors started to ask him for soundtrack work, the first one being Wim Wenders. 

Since then he has written music for 6 feature films, several shorts, one complete TV-series and several other TV-formats as well es for the theatre. 

He has released 4 albums (all of them entering the german top-20-Charts) and several EPs as Get Well Soon and has been constantly playing concert-tours throughout Europe. 

Konstantin is also working as a co-writer and producer for other artists, for example on the platinum-winning album „Hinterland“ by german rap-artist Casper. 

While his music is offering a great emotional depth and density, Konstantin is still a lover of the „great melody“ and enchanting harmony in Score-music, much like his favorite soundtrack-composers Philippe Sarde, Bernard Hermann and of course Morricone. He is always looking for sounds that are non-worn-out sounds and with his great stylistic range from punkrock over electronic music to contemporary classical music he is capable and always up for any musical adventure. 

Being a producer and multi-instrumentalist, he’s able to do most of the scoring work on his own but also to write and arrange for other and bigger ensembles.

Konstantin Gropper wurde 1982 in Oberschwaben, im Süden Deutschlands geboren. Als er etwa 12 Jahre alt war, sah er „Spiel Mir Das Lied Vom Tod“, Ennio Morricone wurde zu seinem Helden und sein Ziel, Filmkomponist zu werden. 

Konstantin fing mit 14 an seine eigenen Songs zu schreiben. Er spielte in Punk und Alternative-Rock-Bands, sang aber auch gleichzeitig in Chören und spielte in Orchestern.  Nach einer Ausbildung im sowohl klassischen Bereich als auch in popular-musikalischer Produktion, veröffentlichte er 2008 sein erstes Solo-Album unter dem Namen „Get Well Soon“ und erhielt aus ganz Europa großes Kritiker-Lob. 

Unmittelbar nach der Veröffentlichung begannen Regisseure ihn für Soundtrack-Arbeiten zu engagieren. Der erste davon war Wim Wenders. 

Seitdem hat er für 6 Spielfilme, mehrere Kurzfilme, eine komplette Fernsehserie und diverse andere TV-Formate, sowie für das Theater Musik geschrieben. 

Er hat als Get Well Soon 4 Alben (alle in den deutschen Top-20 Charts) und diverse EPs veröffentlicht und ist ständig auf Konzerttournee in Europa unterwegs.

Konstantin arbeitet auch als Co-Autor und Produzent für andere Künstler, beispielsweise für das (Platinstatus-) Album „Hinterland“ des Rap-Künstlers Casper. 

Während seine Musik eine große emotionale Tiefe und Dichte bietet, ist Konstantin immer noch ein Liebhaber der großen Melodien und berückenden Harmonien. Eben wie seine Lieblings-Filmkomponisten Philippe Sarde, Bernard Hermann und natürlich Morricone. Er sucht immer nach Klängen, die nicht abgegriffen sind und mit seiner großen stilistischen Bandbreite von Punkrock über elektronischer Musik bis zu zeitgenössischer Klassik ist er für jegliches musikalisches Abenteuer fähig und zu haben.   

Als Produzent und multi-Instrumentalist kann er den größten Teil der Score-Arbeit alleine leisten aber auch für andere und größere Ensembles schreiben.
